Rafael

He loves the city and its people with all his heart, and is always helping others. knowing how to read and write, he spends much of his available time teaching these skills to those who never learnt - children and adults alike! he is not alone in this endeavor, but he helps a friend of his round the south docks. he particularly enjoys reading stories to people, and can often be found doing just that in all sorts of corners of the city: on empty steps in some quiet area, beaneath a tree or sat on the base of a statue. he seems to be friends with everyone. But he keeps a secret - one which is known by some, who have noticed it and realised, but one that is never spoken about out of respect. it seems it is everyones secret.
he lives in the castle, Rafael does. there, people do not call him Rafael, and they do not all see him as a friend. He is She, the princess, with her gorgeous dresses and pleasant smile, a soft voice and elegant demeanor. but you must know, that is not rafael, not his truth in any sense. that is why he must escape every night (and every blessed day which he has free) into the city, to dance and laugh and speak fully as himself.
